RICHARD CLAY plays sax,flute,percussion,keyboards and sings.He composes,arranges and produces.He composed and arranged the single from Mongo Santamaria's Grammy award winning recording Amanecer.More recently his song Love from The Sun was sampled by Multi-Platinum artist J. Cole on his KOD recording which set a streaming record on Apple and Spotify.Richard has performed with a variety of musicians and bands such as JR Bailey original member of the famous vocal group the Cadillacs(They had big hits with Speedo and Gloria),Legendary blues singer Johnny Copland,Jazz organist Brother Jack McDuff,Melvin Van Peebles band,Barry Harris Big Band and Norman Connors Tribute to Phyllis Hyman at the Apollo Theater.

Richard composed,arranged and produced the music for his recording An Allstar Tribute to Pablo Picasso and Miles Davis featuring Lenny White-Drums,Buster Williams-Bass,Geri Allen-Piano,Curtis Fuller-Trombone,Eddie Henderson-Trumpet,Ray Mantilla-Conga and Bongos,Warren Smith-Percussion and Richard Clay-Flute,Sax,keyboards and percussion.Richard toured with an allstar group to support the recording.Richard is distinguished by a N.E.A.(National Endowment of the Arts  award for composing.Richard was featured in the TV-ONE TV series "UNSUNG" in the Phyllis Hyman Story.
